Rails Hosting
Ruby on Rails applications are more resource-intensive than typical web sites using technologies such as PHP, making them more challenging to host. Shared Rails hosting is available but generally too limited for production applications. A VPS (virtual private server) is often the best choice for small-to-moderate traffic applications. A cluster of dedicated servers, or a group of “slices” from a Rails-focused hosting provider, delivers peak performance and reliability for large-scale sites.
