Rails 2.0

Rails 2.0 was released late in 2007 and is the best version to use for all new projects. It includes a wide range of refinements, including code simplifications in views and migrations, a new default cookie storage mechanism, improvements to fixtures, and much more. Some previous deprecated features are now entirely removed; Rails 1.2.6 will show deprecation notices in the log to help you find things you need to change to be compatible with Rails 2.0.
